We are intent on bringing order to your filesystem by offering you the ability to send large files without the need to signup.

We wanted something so simple that you could start using it immediately - we wanted something that just worked effortlessly and easily - this led to the birth of FilePigeon.

  
What's in a name ?

The name "FilePigeon" is based on a the old carrier pigeon that used to deliver important documents and letters around the world.
 
The Egyptians and the Persians first used carrier pigeons 3,000 years ago - they also were used to proclaim the winner of the Olympics. The Birds continued to be used and were used extensively during World War I and World War II.
 
This concept of the carrier pigeon was used as the basis for our website name because of its' powerful association with delivering important documents and letters.

FilePigeon is part of Zamzar Ltd which is based and registered in England as a limited company (number 6463494). FilePigeon is also registered in the UK for VAT (registration number 944606022).
